Ex-LMS 5MT 4-6-0 No 44935 is seen on a foggy and wet day departing the West end of Platform 6 on the 9 50am stopping train to Manchester London Road on 19th March 1954. Built at Horwich works in October 1946 No 44935 was to remain in service until October 1966 when it was withdrawn from Dallam shed in Warrington to be scrapped in April 1967 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
