Ex-LTSR 2P 4-4-2T No 2105, known to local enthusiasts as a 'Tilbury Tank', is seen standing at the East end of Platform 4 at the head of a local passenger service. The class were frequently to be found in the Birmingham area after they were displaced from the London to Tilbury and Southend routes by Stanier's 2-6-4T 3 cylinder locomotives. They were frequently found on the Birmingham to Redditch service as well as as providing motive power for the Birmingham to Kings Norton 'loop' service, which ran via Camp Hill on the outward bound services and via the West Suburban route for inward bound services. Designed by Whitelegg and built by the North British Locomotive Company in June 1903 as LTSR No 64 'Charing Cross', No 2105 was the first of the class to be withdrawn when in November 1947 it was withdrawn from Plaistow shed in London to be scrapped by Crewe works shortly afterwards.
