LMS Period Locomotives: lnwrbns_lms477
Ex-LNWR 4-6-0 Prince of Wales class No 5466 'Lady of the
Lake' looks resplendent in Crimson Lake livery whilst at the head of a down
Class D service circa 1928. Few LNWR locomotives received the LMS Crimson Lake
livery which was effectively the livery of the former Midland Railway. The cab
side only displays the LMS crest whilst the tender, which in the days of the
early LMS livery normally carried the locomotive number, appears to be
blank.
