LMS Period Locomotives: lnwrbns_lms519
Ex-LNWR 2F 0-6-0 No 8529 is seen acting as West end pilot as
it stands at Platform 3 whilst it readies to move the empty stock of a down
passenger service on 7th May 1938. Built at Crewe works as LNWR No 166 in April
1900, No 8529 was renumbered by the LMS in May 1943 to accommodate the ever
growing number of 8F 2-8-0 locomotives and ran as 28529 until it was withdrawn
in December 1948 from Bangor shed to be scrapped at Crewe shortly
afterwards.
