Birmingham New Street Station: lnwrbns_str1774
Elevated view from the Queens Hotel looking towards the top
of Queens Drive and its junction with Navigation Street and below rolling stock
standing in Coffee House Bay. Coffee Tavern is the elevated building behind the
rolling stock and was accessed via dog-legged staircase. The 'tunnel' mouth to
the right was actually part of Navigation Street bridge the top of which has
been used to erect work huts which were accessed via gate out on to the bridge.
The huts were used by workmen who were working on Navigation Street bridge and
who had closed half of the width of the road on the bridge, part of the
barriers are just in view on the right.
