Birmingham New Street Station: lnwrbns_str1781
Looking down the slope of the Western entrance of Queens
Drive with the covered central driveway now removed following bomb damage
sustained in the Second World War. In the distance is St. Martin's spire whilst
on the left is the LNWR portion of the station and on the right the Midland
portion still with its train shed intact. At the bottom on the left are black
taxi cabs occupying the same place as their horse-drawn predecessors, the
hansom cabs.
