Birmingham New Street Station: lnwrbns_str1856
Looking West along Platform 3 with on the right a rake of
LNWR 57 ft lavatory stock coaches built during the First World War period.
Richard Foster believes the coaches make up the 11 00 am express to Manchester
and Liverpool. He also notes that to the right on Platform 2 adjacent to the
steps to the footbridge are the dark liveried vehicles of belonging to the
North Staffordshire Railway company. On the opposite side of the station
in South Staffordshire Bay 'B', Richard notes that there is a large covered van
with centre sliding door with the words 'For Motor Cars' displayed prominently
on either side of the door.
