Prior to 1923 the building on the right accomodated the LNWR Booking Office whilst on the other side of the pedestrian bridge the other section of the building accommodated the Midland Railway Booking Office. The train indicator fingerboard on the right with the clock set at 10:12 points to Platform 7 with the legend Derby, Sheffield, Leeds, Bradford written on it.
