Looking along Platform 10, originally Platform 6, towards New Street No 2 Signal Box and Queens Drive bridge whilst an unknown ex-LMS 4-6-0 stands on the centre road. The line to Derby had to pass under the bridge carrying Queens Drive followed by the tunnel under Worcester Street before it emerged alongside the ex-LNWR lines to Coventry and Aston.
