LMS Route: Coventry Loop Line

Bell Green Goods Yard: lnwrcll1741

Looking along Stoney Stanton Road as a tram passes under Coventry Loop Line and in front of Bell Green goods yard which is on the left on 20th August 1939. Careful observation will show that the cobbles which are laid eitherside and inside the tram rails deviate to the left and pass through the gates behind the street lamppost. This was the entrance to the goods yard and the rails inside the good yards were still evident in parts in the early 1980s.
