LMS Route: Coventry Loop Line

A 1915 Ordnance Survey map showing the line of Foleshill Railway and the various factories it served. The map information states that it was actually revised in 1912 but published in 1915. The junction with the Nuneaton to Coventry line was adjacent to Webster's sidings and in 1912, terminated at the Ordnance works on the right (which is not named on the map). The factory seen opposite Webster's Sidings is thought to be the Daimler Work's which had occupied a four storey mill when it came to Coventry. By 1912 the Daimler Motor Company had been bought out by BSA (1909) which owned the business until it sold it to Jaguar in 1960.
