Ex-LMS 2-6-2T 3MT No 40157 stands in front of the coaling line whilst ex-LNWR 0-8-0 7F No 49424 stands alongside the coaling line

Ex-LMS 2-6-2T 3MT No 40157 stands in front of the coaling line whilst ex-LNWR 0-8-0 7F No 49424 stands alongside the coaling line. Built as LMS No 157 at Derby works in October 1937 it remained in service until November 1962 when it was withdrawn from Willesden shed in London before being scrapped in April 1963 at Derby works. The Super D was built as LNWR No 576 at Crewe works in December 1922 and remained in service until November 1959 when it was withdrawn from Speke Junction shed in Liverpool and was eventually scrapped in November 1960 at Crewe works.
