Ex-LMS 4-6-2 8P Coronation class No 46245 'City of London' is seen coming off light engine from the Leamington branch. The locomotive has probably been stabled there during one of the many Cathedral specials that ran after its consecration on May 25th 1962. Built as LMS No 6245 by Crewe Works as a streamlined locomotive in June 1943 it remained in service having lost its streamlining post-war until October 1964 when it was withdrawn from Crewe North to be scrapped in December 1964 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
