View showing the majority of Coventry station's buildings are now demolished with the exception of the footbridge. The speed restriction through the station on the up lines had been limited to 15 miles per hour as indicated by the sign by the water column. It would appear from the evidence of the point rodding running in front of the concrete platform posts that Coventry No 2 signal cabin still existed when the photograph was taken. Ben Brooksbank took the photograph from the rear of a DMU travelling on the down line to Birmingham.
