LMS 4-4-0 4P Compound No 1165 is seen entering Platform 2 on one
of the famed 'two-hour' Euston to Birmingham express services circa 1927. The
coaching stock is mainly LMS although the third vehicle is a LNWR restaurant
car. Built by the North British Locomotive Company in September 1925 it
remained in service until March 1959 when it was withdrawn from Bournville shed
in Birmingham to be scrapped during October 1960 by A Loom of Spondon. It was
reported to be stored at Chaddesden Sidings from May 1959 to August 1960.
