An unidentified LNWR 4-4-0 'George the Fifth class locomotive on an up express from Birmingham through Coventry on the up main, probably after 1912. By this date a new passenger footbridge had been constructed, at the east end of the main passenger buildings and adjac-ent to the luggage parcels overbndge. As can be seen, at this time the bookstall on the up platform was half-hidden behind the luggage lift. Mike Christensen
