cabin which was the second to built at the southern end of the station. The
small extension at the top of the steps was a chemical toilet. The first signal
cabin was built nearly opposite to its replacement, at the Rugby end of
platform 1, replaced when the station was modified in the 1880s. Coventry No 1
had less than a year left in service before it was made redundant by the new
Power Box.
