View of Coventry No 3 Temporary Signal box which was located in the vee of the junction of the Birmingham mainline with the Nuneaton branch. Coventry original No 3 Signal Signal Box's was in the way of the new trackwork to the throat of the new station and therefore had to be demolished. Even though Coventry was to have just one Power Signal box that controlled this and other sections of the route, a temporary box had to be built until it was 'switched in'. The above view shows the temporary box being commissioned prior to the demolition of the original Signal box.
