Ex-LMS 4MT 2-6-4T No 42669 is seen in a different pose standing in front of ex-LMS 0-4-4T 1P No 41902 (see also image 'lnwrcov1585') which has had its chimney removed from the smokebox. Dick Blenkinsop, the Leamington based photographer who had published a number of photographic books in the 1970s and 80s, had purchased the chimney as a garden decoration. He used to recount a story that when he bought it for the princely sum of £5, he wasn't allowed to take it in his car, that British Railways insisted it had to go to Crewe to be weighed and then be delivered to Leamington station.
