Looking towards Birmingham this late Victorian view of Coundon Road station master's house shows the level crossing closed to road traffic. To the left of the road proceeding to the level crossing is part of the retaining wall to the under bridge's approach road. The stone used for both the bridge, retaining wall and station master's house was from the same quarry.
