Close up of image 'lnwrcr40' showing Coundon Road station's brick utilitarian built gentlemen's toilets situated at the Nuneaton end of both platforms. Built at a later date than the original station the practice of separating the gentlemen's toilet from the rest of the passenger facilities was common and originated in Victorian times. One can only assume all these years later that the Victorian's were not only prudish but had a very poor opinion of the behaviour of men in front of both ladies and children.
