A view of a gang in the process of transferring merchandise
from a LMS electrical trolley to a van labelled Croyden (sic) circa 1933. In
all probability this van would be sent to Willesden by overnight express from
where it would be forwarded to the Southern Railway via the West London Railway
and onto Norwood Yard. The merchandise being loaded has originated from outside
of Birmingham, the Ty-phoo Tea being labelled G&W Collins, Fonting Street,
St Helens, Lancs and on the right are cases of jam from Ledbury in
Herefordshire.
