View of Curzon Street's goods forwarding office on the ground floor in the former dining room of the hotel on 25th September 1938. The lack of staff on view and the clear desks confirm that that the day must be a Sunday, the only day of the week when the office was closed. In addition to the desks some partitioning has been erected which together with the gas lighting suspended from the ceiling is probably the limit of any changes since the building was erected one hundred years earlier.
