The building in the foreground is standing between sidings No 20 and No 21 and was used as offices. Behind the offices is a large water storage tank mounted on top of a brick stand. This provided water for the many water columns scattered around the yard. A row of buildings once stood approximately where the Diesel shunter is standing, between sidings Nos 25 and 26, but these were demolished when the sidings were realigned in 1912.
