LMS Route: Birmingham New Street to Lichfield
Four Oaks Station: lnwrfo53b
Close up of image 'lnwrfo53' showing the limited passenger
facilities on Four Oaks' down platform and behind the cycle shed. Unlike the
stations built between Sutton Coldfield and Birmingham the waiting rooms would
have been limited to one for the Ladies and one as a General waiting room. The
First, Second and Third Class facilities found at the other stations were no
longer required as Second Class was fast disappearing from the LNWR. The two
signs seen above are for Gentlemens toilets at the far end and the Booking
Office nearest to the camera.
