LMS Route: Birmingham New Street to Lichfield

Looking towards New Street station from the building at Lichfield end of Four Oaks' Platform 2. This is another photograph which strictly should not be included as it was taken in the 1970s after our time line of 1968 but in the absence of other quality photographs is included. The signal box was sited at the Birmingham end of the platform 1 in order to aid the signalman to control the carriage sidings and goods yard.
