Foleshill Road's stationmaster inspects the flowerbed created by his staff on 22nd October 1960. Most if not all of the UK's railway companies encouraged their staff to plant flowers etc to make the station more attractive. Local, regional and national competitions were one way of engaging staff in this activity.
