This photograph shows Gravelly Hill in its heyday with both platforms fully extended to the bridge carrying Hillaries Road over the railway. The train which is bound for New Street station appears to consist of up to eight eight-wheel coaches which occupy most of the platform length lying between Hillaries Road and the footbridge.
