From 1887 services to and from Harborne operated an early example of a regular interval based service with trains leaving Harborne at fifteen minutes to the hour and services from New Street fifteen minutes past the hour. Whilst the station was built by the Harborne Railway Company the station sign is pure LNWR in design. This photograph was taken circa 1930 just a few years prior to the station's closure.
