View of an unidentified 0-6-0 tender locomotive running tender first whilst in control of a weedkilling train. Weedkilling trains were required to keep the track clear of overgrowth, particularly on lines which did not see much traffic. The photograph shows a goods brake van at either end of the train and two former LNWR tenders used to carry the liquid. The carriage seen at the far end of the train would be the crews' mobile mess facility.
