Ordnance Survey map of Hampton in Arden's station showing the passenger facilities on both platforms together with the main station building located at road level. The road leading down to the goods yard, which was located on the down side and to the left of the station, was named Station Road and was accessed off the High Street adjacent to the main station building. 'Old Station Road', which led to the original B&DJR station located to the right of the above station, had a junction with High Street and Meriden Road (the roads which crossed the railway) at the bottom of Bridge No 347. As is well illustrated by the plan of the station, the platforms were equipped with identical structures accommodating the same facilities, albeit mirrored in layout. This reflected the LNWR management's thinking in 1884 that local passenger traffic would be equally shared between Coventry and Birminghamand therefore equal passenger facilities would be required on both platforms.
