LMS 4P Compound 4-4-0 No 1053 is seen with steam blowing off from its safety valves whilst on an up two-hour express service near Hampton in Arden. Built at Derby works in April 1924 it remained in service until June 1956 when it was withdrawn from Leicester shed to be scrapped in the same month by Derby works.
