LMS Route: Rugby to Wolverhampton

Hampton in Arden - Locomotives: lnwrhia695

Ex-LNWR 2F 0-6-0 Cauliflower No 8613 is seen on a local passenger service near Hampton in Arden in April 1927. When LNWR locomotives were given the LMS treatment they lost their cast-iron cabside number plates and had a smokebox number plate fixed. In this view the cabside still has a ghost outline where the number plate was once fixed. Built at Crewe works in July 1901 it remained in service until withdrawn in October 1928 when it was scrapped by Crewe works.
