Ex-LMS 5MT 4-6-0 No 45437 is seen on the down mail line with an empty carriage working on 4th July 1955. On the right of the train are the connections between Monument Lane goods sidings and the up and down main lines. On the left is the connection to the siding that provided access to Monument Lane shed. Access to the carriage shed (the building seen on the left) was via a connection near to Monument Lane station. Built as LMS No 5437 by Armstrong Whitworth in November 1937 No 45437 was to remain in service until October 1967 when it was withdrawn from 12A Kingmoor shed.
