Ex-LNWR 0-8-0 'Super D' No 9349 is seen heading a long mineral train out of Kenilworth goods yard en-route for Milverton and Leamington on 28th Aug 1936. From the amount of steam being exhausted from under the bufferbeam it would appear the inside cylinders are leaking quite badly. Built at Crewe works in February 1918 No 9439 was to remain in service until December 1948 when it was withdrawn from Walsall shed to be scrapped at Crewe works shortly afterwards, having never carried the British Railway number - No 49349 - it had been allocated.
