An internal view of the booking hall showing the panelled facade to the booking clerk's offices with two windows provided for the sale of tickets. The booking hall was fifty long by twenty-eight feet wide with ornamental open timber roof surmounted by a lantern. The floor was also laid with Minton's encaustic paving whilst the booking office enclosure was of varnished pitch-pine, framed and panelled, with pierced cresting above the cornice. The station's booking office was badly damaged by fire in 1923, the year that the LNWR was absorbed into the London Midland Scottish Railway Company (LMS), but fortunately was replaced by a near identical structure. As can be seen in this view the booking office was in essence a building within a building having an ornate fascia to the leaded roof.
