View along Kenilworth station's down platform showing the station master's office, booking hall and waiting room on the left on 12th September 1964. The trunk on the platform is being weighed as parcels and luggage travelling separately were charged as an extra with or without passengers. When the train arrives it would be placed on the four-wheel porter's trolley and wheeled to the brake coach where the guard was located for forward transit. The ornate ironwork to the top of the bay window matched the ironwork seen on top of the booking office in the booking hall. The bench seating has the name Kenilworth on the top rail, a feature frequently found on stations throughout the country. Between the two ornament cast iron columns supporting the equally decorative roof one of Kenilworth's gas lit lamps can be seen.
