LMS Route: Nuneaton to Leamington
Kenilworth Junction: lnwrkj198
British Railways Standard class 9F 2-10-0 No 92151 is seen
heading a mineral train coming off the single line adjacent to Kenilworth
Junction Signal Cabin. The locomotive has a tender full of coal indicating that
it probably started its journey from Nuneaton with coal from one of North
Warwickshire's coal pits. With the load appearing to be made up of fine grained
coal its most likely en-route to Didcot power station. Built at Crewe works in
October 1957 No 92151 failed to see 10 years of service before being withdrawn
in April 1967 from Birkenhead shed where it remained in store for a further
twelve months before being scrapped by Draper Ltd of Hull in April 1968.
