LMS Route: Berkswell to Kenilworth Junction
Kenilworth Junction: lnwrkj3121
British Railways Standard class 9F 2-10-0 No 92013 is in a
very dirty state as it approaches Kenilworth Junction at the head of a coal
train on 25th July 1965. Built at Crewe works in June 1954, No 92013 was one of
the first batch of 9Fs built and therefore whilst it remained in service longer
than many of its classmates, it still saw relatively little service in
comparison to earlier generations of locomotives, being withdrawn from Saltley
shed in September 1966 to remain in store until May 1967 before being scrapped
by G Cohen of Kettering.
