Ex-LMS 8F 2-8-0 No 48646 passes under the skew bridge on the Kenilworth side of Hill Wootton & Leek Wootton Crossroads on 19th September 1965. Built by Brighton works (LBSC) as LMS No 8646 in November 1943, No 48646 was to remain in service until June 1968, two months before the end of main line steam on British Railways, when it was withdrawn from 10D Lostock shed to be scrapped by Hall Drapers Ltd of Hull.
