Leamington (Avenue) Station - Locomotives: lnwrlave4066

Ex-LNWR 4-4-0 Precursor Class No 25245 'Antaeus' is standing at the Up platform on a local service to Rugby in the late 1930s, on the left is an LMS Stanier 2-6-4T locomotive. Built as LNWR No 561 by Crewe works in April 1906, the locomotive was renumbered in January 1927 by the LMS as No 5246 and again as No 25246 in April 1936 which it retained until March 1941 when it was withdrawn from service to be scrapped.
