LMS Route: Rugby to Leamington Spa (Avenue)

Looking towards Marton station's main station building which was located on the up platform with Leamington off to the right. The doubling of the line required a second platform which could not, unlike Birdingbury, be built opposite the existing platform because the goods yard occupied the site. Therefore it was built with a staggered layout with the up (new) platform being built towards Leamington. Note the height of the lintels to the two doors, the ladies waiting room on the left and the station master's house in the centre, to that of the door on the right which led to the booking office.
