Ex-LMS 8F 2-8-0 No 48534 runs tender first off the Weedon branch with a train of chalk empties from Southam Cement Works. The date is recorded by Robert Powell Hendry as 5th August 1966. However the allocation for No 48534, built at Doncaster Plant in May 1945 shows it was allocated to 5E Nuneaton shed from July 1965 to June 1966 from where it was withdrawn in October 1967 to be scrapped. The signalman is standing ready to take the Southam-Marton Junction electric train staff from the crew of the locomotive.
