The Fisons weedkiller train is approaching Marton Junction hauled by Diesel Locomotive 31247 on 20th June 1985, having trundled down the line from Rugby at a line maximum speed of 30 mph. Here the locomotive will run around the train by using the loop line on the left, and then continue to Southam. This was the last train to use either line. Built by Brush Traction as British Railways D5675 in December 1960, 31247 received its new TOPs number in January 1973 as ran with this number until February 2000 when it was withdrawn from service to be scrapped by TJ Thomson and Son of Stockton.
