				  Lane New Wharf sidings on Tuesday 27th July 1954. The Wharf which was nicknamed
				  the 'Maltings' held only 89 wagons but also provided access to the private
				  sidings of S Thompson & Sons, brewers. The train from which the photograph
				  was taken has just emerged from New Street station's north tunnel whilst the
				  former Midland locomotive was one of several working on the 'Western Division
				  of the now defunct LMS. It carried the shed plate '3E' being allocated to
				  Monument Lane shed which was located immediately to the right of the tunnel
