LMS 5XP 4-6-0 'Patriot class' No 5518 stands alongside the ash plant as it has its firebox cleaned on 26th May 1935. Later to receive the name 'Bradshaw', No 5518 was built at Crewe works in February 1933 and was to remain in service until October 1962 when it was withdrawn from 24J Lancaster shed.
