View of Monument Lane's crane using a spreader beam to remove one of the shed's roof trusses. The offices and stores can be seen at the rear of the shed as can each road's pit used by the driver and fireman to oil and check their locomotive at the start of each working day. The travelling crane is mounted on a six-wheel chassis and is probably self propelled for travelling small distances during lifts. This particular operation is not stretching the capacity of the crane as its not relying upon hydraulic jacks to stabilise itself during lifting operations. To the right workmen can be seen at the top of the steel column.
