LMS Route: Leamington to Weedon
Napton & Stockton Station: lnwrn&s1318
Looking towards Weeden with the main passenger building on
the up line on the left and the down platform on the right. The station is seen
as originally built complete with passing loop which created two platforms and
with steps to the road providing both access to the station and crossover
facilities for passengers from the booking office. The boarded barrow crossing
seen at the end of the platforms were for use only by station staff when moving
parcels or luggage by porter's trolly. In its early years the station, as was
common at many station's across the country, was kept very neat by staff being
painted on a regular basis and well laid out with flower beds, window boxes and
baskets.
