Ex-LNWR 0-8-0 class G2a No 49117 is seen at the head of a goods train on the slow up line as it passes the junction of the branch to Ashby. An unidentified ex-LMS 2-8-0 is held by signals on the Ashby branch until the 7F 0-8-0 has cleared the section. Built at Crewe works in May 1910 No 49117 remained in service until March 1959 when it was withdrawn from Victoria shed in Swansea to be scrapped during February 1960 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge after being held in store at Winsford between March and December 1960.
