Ex-LMS 4-6-0 Rebuilt Royal Scot class No 46151 'The Royal Horse Guardsman' is seen at the head of a down express approaching platform two circa 1962. Built at Derby works in June 1930 to Henry Fowler's parallel boilered design No 41651 was later rebuilt by William Stanier with a tapered boiler and remained in service until August 1962, when it was it was the first of the class to be withdrawn, from Darnall shed in Sheffield to be scrapped during August 1963 by Crewe works having been in store previously at Staveley.
